A Rioja wine, young, fresh and well assembled with Garnacha providing fruitiness, smoothness and ease of drink; The Tempranillo offering balance and race riojana; And finally the Graciano doing the same with the acidity, freshness and a touch of aromatic complexity.
The grapes of Garnacha and Graciano are from Monte Yerga (El Agudo). And the Tempranillo from Ábalos (Periquita, El Silo, Las Arenas and Armendari).
The age of vines is 30 to 50 years. Manual harvest in boxes of 12 kilos. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at low temperature (between 22 and 25ºC). Maceration of 15 days. Aged for 9 months in concrete tanks, wooden tubs and used French oak barrels.
Bright red deep layer. Aromas of red fruits (cherry and raspberry) with mineral and floral touches. Sweet, raspberry and blueberries provide sweetness that contrasts with a pleasant acidity. Very elegant and fruity and long finish. Perrfect for white meat, dry cheeses, orange sauces, grilled meats, fondues and Italian cuisine.
Exopto was born in 2003 as a result of the illusion of three friends whose main goal was to interpret Rioja and its terroir in a different way. The base that supports the work of Bodegas Exopto is the location of very different plots, taking into account the floors and the orientations. As for the varieties, the three historic Rioja wines work: Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano, giving prominence to each of them in 3 different wines. Finally, when the work is transferred to the winery, the previous parameters of plots and grapes serve to define the type of material (wood, concrete and stainless steel) with which the wines will be fermented, as well as the method of elaboration (Pigeage, Reassembled or static).
