The Irreverent Wine Award of 202 is for a Garnacha made in La Rioja from the irreverent and magnificent producer Oxer Bastegieta. Suzanne is an ode to women, tenderness, character and good work.
Suzzane is the faithful reflection of what Garnacha should express in Rioja soils. It is a tribute to the respect that this variety instills in the members of the winery as well as the old vineyards of the region. Its name comes from the legendary Leonard Cohen song in which he praises the role of women, hence the elegance in this wine.
Aromas of black fruit, light touches of cinnamon, cocoa and elegant floral notes of violets, lavender and more wild flowers. Very elegant wine with a seductive velvet texture balanced with magnificent acidity and soft tannin. Fresh and floral mid palate with a concentrated and complex aftertaste.
